Titanium & Exotic Alloys

With a similar strength to steel but only weighing about 45% of steel, titanium is an alloy very well suited to cutting using an abrasive water jet machine. As many applications for titanium require the edge being machined does not have a heat affected zone once again abrasive water jet machining offers advantages over laser or EDM processes.

Other exotic alloys such as Inconel™ family of materials, Hastalloy, Invar, Kovar, Nickel, aircraft alloys and Copper alloys are very well suited to abrasive water jet machining.
